Repairing a system may mean as little as fixing a damaged or broken pipe. If your system is older, then, a “repair” may mean installing a whole new system, in many cases a completely different type of OSSF. Age of the system, site conditions and a site evaluation would determine the extent of the repair requirements.
However, regulations introduced by the state of Texas in 1997 require that all planning, installation, construction, alteration, extension, repair and operation of an OSSF must be in accordance with new rules.
If it is determined that the system will require major repair, a site evaluation and permitting would be required before the installation.
