Top 3 Signs It’s Time to Replace Your Septic System

Replacing your septic system is a major project and expense. Here are 3 signs that could indicate it’s time to replace:

1. Water has surfaced over the yard (from the drainfield or tank).
2. You have backup in your house and have already determined the backup is not due to a plumbing blockage (or a blockage in the pipe between the house and the tank).
3. You have pumped your tank but keep experiencing the same issues shortly after the tank is emptied.

You may not experience all these signs at the same time, but experiencing even just one of them is a good indication that your system should be replaced, especially if it is over 20 years old.
