Repairing

Repairing a system can mean as little as fixing a damaged or broken pipe to replacing the entire system. In 1997, the State of Texas updated the regulations to require that all planning, installation, construction, alteration, extension, repair and operation of an OSSF must be in accordance with the new rules.

Therefore the word “repair” may mean installing a whole new system, in many cases a completely different type of OSSF. Age of the system, site conditions and a site evaluation would determine the extent of the repair requirements. If it is determined that the system will require major repair, a site evaluation and permitting would be required before the installation.
